We revisited the Peggy Notebaert Museum in May 2012. We first came here in May of 2010 (see review here) and though we liked it, we would not come out of our way to revisit. But I did purchase a Family Membership from Groupon again since it did give reciprocal memberships to museums plus 50% discounts
to some Chicagoland museums. I did a cost analysis and I thought it would be worth it to purchase it again.

I’m glad we re-experienced the Museum since my son was older and was able to enjoy the Museum more than the first time.

Highlights

  • Butterfly Garden – I know we complained about the humidity on our first trip, but this time was a totally different experience. It could be that there were not a lot of people inside, plus my son actually enjoyed looking / trying to catch the butterflies. Or maybe he just liked looking at the mini waterfall and koi pond.
  • View from the Rooftop Garden

  • Hands on Habitat play area – Since we were here with an hour to spare before closing, there was no one here and my son had the room all to himself and he loved it.

  • Bikes Exhibit
