One of my favorite FREE days of the year, National Public Gardens Day, is approaching. It also happens to be Mother’s Day weekend. So do yourself a favor – go ahead and print this coupon. Bring your mom, bring the kids, and take some time to smell the roses (and other beautiful flowers while you’re at it). What a great start to the weekend to celebrate moms everywhere!

Here are just a sampling of gardens that you can see for free in the Chicagoland area.

Chicago Botanic Garden – Love this place! We could spend the whole day here and not see everything. See our review here and here.

Cantigny Park – I cannot say enough good things about this place. Kids can climb on tanks; there’s a civil war museum; special free kiddie concerts; and of course the gardens are beautiful. See our review here.
