WHAT: Beginning Monday, January 7, the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago (MSI) will offer FREE general admission to Illinois residents every weekday (Monday through Friday) during the month of January.
Get inside where it’s warm and enjoy hands-on, science exploration at MSI. Experience groundbreaking permanent exhibits like Science Storms and YOU! The Experience for FREE! Enjoy all your classic favorites, and take in daily Live Science Demonstrations including the spectacular chemistry show, Bangs, Flashes and Fire.
FREE general admission also makes it a great time to see MSI’s new temporary exhibit Charlie Brown and the Great Exhibit (running through Feb. 18, 2013), uncovering the life and artistic talent of Charles Schulz, the creator of the Peanuts comic strip. See how iconic characters like Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and Linus were developed and evolved over decades in print and popular culture. For a lesson in animation, kids and families can experiment with zoetropes; get a peek inside Snoopy’s dog house; tap out a tune on a giant piano like Schroeder; and more! This exhibit is not included in general admission and requires an additional timed-entry ticket.
